News Deep Ellum Shooting Reports: What Is Confirmed in Dallas A report of another Deep Ellum shooting has appeared alongside coverage of older cases in […] November 1, 2026
, Dallas police responded around 1:02 a.m. to the 2900 block of Elm Street, where three people had been shot. Dallas Fire Rescue took all three victims to a hospital in stable condition. Authorities later arrested Demond Hardy, 23, and charged him with four counts of aggravated assault involving the discharge of a firearm. The station reported that the investigation was continuing at the time of publication. That August account provides a specific date, location, victim count and arrest, making it distinguishable from the unverified report now appearing in the supplied search results. The information about three stable patients belongs to the August case. It does not establish the condition of anyone mentioned in a newer report, and Hardy's arrest should not be presented as an arrest in a separate incident. ## Earlier deadly shootings involved different cases Another report concerns two shootings on May 5 and May 6, 2026. [FOX 4](https://www.fox4news.com/news/deep-ellum-shooting-security-guard-killed) reported that five people were wounded near Commerce Street and Malcolm X Boulevard late Tuesday. All five were expected to survive. Around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, a separate shooting in the 2800 block of Elm Street fatally wounded security guard Joseph Gray, 26. Police said Gray had been trying to break up a fight. Detorius Tarver, 23, was arrested and charged with murder. Investigators said the two shootings appeared unrelated. The headline describing two deaths and three injuries refers to an even older case. The [Fort Worth Star Telegram](https://www.star-telegram.com/news/local/crime/article261415177.html) reported that shooting on May 13, 2022, in the 2800 block of Elm Street. Jermaine Lewis and Quintin Lowe died, while three other people were injured. Police said the 2022 shooting began after two men approached another man on a sidewalk. Two bystanders were also struck by gunfire, according to the newspaper's account of the initial police findings. Those dates explain why searches for a Deep Ellum shooting can return sharply different accounts. The older reports document serious violence, but they do not confirm the details of a newly reported incident.](https://liquidlabswa.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/Deep-Ellum-Shooting-Reports-What-Is-Confirmed-in-Dallas.jpg)
